This article will show you the simple trick that will make your ads get you more clients.
Many business owners research on Google, and stumble upon Facebook ads, and VOILA they are marketers. They set up an account, run some ads, and…… get zero leads. Facebook Ads are not a scam, they yield great results. There is a trick, the Facebook Ads Trick that no one is talking about is SIMPLE.

I recall starting my first ad campaign, it was quite frustrating. There was minimal guidance available online. And the few information you could find was not very helpful. After years of trials and error I was able to master this skill and I will share the secrets of advertising.
It was quite surprising to see how all my college and post graduate education did very little in preparing me for local business advertising. We analyzed top players in the global market, Coca-Cola, Nike, Caterpillar, and many more.
These companies have budgets of millions of dollars to spend on marketing each year. Local business have a more finite marketing budget, which I understood needed to be maximized.
I stared at my computer with an endless amount of tabs open and no idea where to start. The clock kept ticking and I needed to come up with an ad campaign. I realized that a great ad for a small business would not adhere to the large business ad formula.
My mind was blank, I needed to figure this out.
The Secret Reason Why Most Ads Don’t Perform
The more I researched the more confused I became.
There was conflicting information coming from every website. Some said to focus on branding, others stated to focus on pricing, and they were all wrong.
The deadline for this ad campaign was quickly approaching. I thought why not just see what the competitors are doing. I leveraged their tactics and made them simplier.
My manager found the ad to be to simple. He wanted more branding, more discounts, and more services on the ad. I was nervous to ask him why, so we ran with his changes and published the ad.
After a week of the ad running, I mustered up the courage to ask about the results.
My boss with a grin on his face said:
“Nothing yet…. That’s how these things work, they will even out over time.”
“Even out over time? Should we try different variations? Maybe the simplier version I made might work?” I asked.
My boss smile and said: “Nooooo. That’s not how ads work! Ads are supposed to display all our services, discounts, and brand. Get the client to know what we have to offer, you know that, right?”
I remember studying those terms, so I said that I of course knew exactly what he meant.
But truthfully… I had no idea what he meant. Or how this would increase sales.
And now, almost several years later, I can let you in on a little secret…
…he also had no idea what he was talking about.
Fixing Your Marketing
The reality of advertising is that most businesses throw away at least 50% of their marketing budget. This is due to one main issue:
They try to sell everything to everyone.
This is confusing, do not confuse the customer.
Keep it SIMPLE.
Look at your ads just like a potential customer would. Can they quickly see what you are selling? Are there to many options? Do they feel confused?
Keep your advertisements simple.
A confused customer, does nothing.
But this is just the tip of the iceberg……
How To Keep Things Simple
I decided to investigate this further and what I found was groundbreaking.
The good news? There was.
The bad news? It took me years and years of study, testing, trial and error to figure this out.
If I had to write it all out we would both be sitting here for weeks, so instead, let me give you one of the best shortcuts I managed to come up with.
The first thing I do when I start working with clients is start with this simple rule:
Every single ad we run needs have an ideal client in mind, simplify it.
